Simon "Manny" Gonzalez, Jr.

McAllen - Simon "Manny" Gonzalez, Jr.  passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at his residence on July 10, 2024.

Born in McAllen, TX on February 16, 1968, Simon was known throughout the town for his dedication to his work and his compassionate nature.

Simon leaves behind a legacy as the previous proud owner of Forget Me Not Flower Shop and Simon's Construction. His entrepreneurial spirit and hard work ethic were admired by all who knew him. He was a selfless man who loved and did everything for his four daughters and grandchildren and was strong in his faith with the Lord. He shared 30 years of marriage to Mariela. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Priscilla, Desiree, Brittany, and Brianna, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Sophia, Audrina, and Pablo.

Simon was preceded in death by: Juanita Gonzalez, Simon Gonzalez, Bertha Nieto, Julia Gonzalez, Ricardo Gonzalez, Ruben Gonzalez.

Simon is survived by his siblings, Rudy, Michelle, Patricia, Mary, Melissa, Raymond, Sabino, and Luisa, all of whom will fondly remember their time spent with him.

The funeral service and ceremonies for Simon Gonzalez will be held to honor his life and memory on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Legacy Chapels, 4610 S. Jackson Rd., Edinburg, TX. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.

Simon's presence will be greatly missed, but his spirit and impact on those who knew him will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace.
