Mercedes - Sabino "Spider" Del Toro, Jr., 61, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. He was a native of Mexico, born on May 20, 1958 to Rosa Hernandez and Sabino Del Toro, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Flores of Mercedes; two sons, Sabino Del Toro, III and Jose Reynaldo Del Toro; three daughters, Yuvara Zulu Del Toro, Raquel Del Toro and Victoria Dauphinais; and by 23 grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Inocencio Del Toro and Santos Del Toro and two sisters, Eulalia Del Toro Garza and Diamantina Del Toro Nava. Sabino is preceded in death by his parents; and by seven siblings, Juana Briones, Maria Hinojosa, Teodoro Del Toro, Guadalupe Del Toro, Rosa Paz, Gloria Del Toro Zuniga and Victoriana Martinez.
Viewing will be held Friday, February 21, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Cardoza Funeral Home Chapel in Edcouch. A Prayer Service to held at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Saturday morning, February 22, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with a Chapel Service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Cardoza Funeral Home of Edcouch.
