ELSA - Rene Rodriguez, 46 entered eternal rest surrounded by his loved ones on March 7, 2025 in Elsa. Rene was born on January 19, 1979 to Raul and Angelita Rodriguez, Sr.

Rene found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was listening to his favorite music, working on cars, or spending serene afternoons fishing. Most importantly, Rene treasured the moments shared with his family, creating lasting memories that will be held dear in their hearts.

His love for music resonated in every gathering, and his passion for working on cars displayed his hands-on creativity and skill. Rene's easy-going nature and infectious laughter brought light to all who knew him. He will be sorely missed by friends and family alike.

Rene is preceded in death by his father Raul Rodriguez Sr and his brother Raul Rodriguez Jr.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Roxanne Rodriguez, children; Rene Rodriguez Jr (Cassandra), Jacob Rene Rodriguez (Josette), Amberly Renee Rodriguez (Mario), Audrey Renee Rodriguez, Joanna Jeanette Castro, and Jasey Jade Castro, grandchildren; Avery Rae Ramirez, Cristian Jay Rosales and a little one on the way. Rene is also survived by his mother Angelita Rodriguez, and siblings Elodia (Efrain) Arias, Norma (Ernie) Rodriguez-Garcia, Esmer (Rene) Rodriguez, Hilda Rodriguez, Irene Rodriguez, Consuelo "Connie" Rodriguez and Ivan (Maria) Rodriguez.

Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 and Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 P.M. on both evenings at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco, Texas.

In this time of sorrow, let us remember Rene for the joy he brought into our lives, his unwavering love for his family, and the beautiful memories we will carry with us always.
