Rene Rolando Cardoza

MISSION- Rene Rolando Cardoza, 58, went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 29, 2023 in San Antonio.

Rene was born November 27, 1964 to Gabriel Jr. and Nieves Cardoza. in Houston Texas. Rene grew up in Elsa and graduated from Edcouch-Elsa HS in 1983.

Rene is preceded in death by his son, Anthony Jorge 'AJ' Cardoza; parents; Gabriel Jr. and Nieves Cardoza; brothers, Gabriel Cardoza, III and Jorge Cardoza.

Rene is survived by his loving wife, Hilda Contreras Cardoza; son, Roland Lee Cardoza; siblings, Rosie Reyes (Pete), Fernando Cardoza (Imelda), Blanca E. Cardoza, Hilda C. Barajas (Rudy), Dalia Cardoza (Richard). Rene is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Viewing will be Friday, August 4, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 114 W. Fay St., Edinburg, TX. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
