Raul Villalpando

WESLACO - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raul DeLeon Villalpando, who left us on Monday, August 26, 2024, at the age of 70 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco Raul was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Mary Jane Ortiz, and a proud father to his daughters, Bridgget Mae Hernandez and Vilma Espino Villalpando. He will be deeply missed by his sisters, Jene Pena and Dolores Pena Gomez, who cherished their time together. 

Raul is preceded in death by his loving mother, Eufemia De Leon Pena, and his father, Benjamin Villalpando. Their guidance shaped his kind spirit and warm heart.

A man of simple joys, Raul found happiness in the company of friends over coffee at the park, where laughter and stories filled the air. He had a heartfelt passion for football and boxing, often sharing his excitement and enthusiasm for these sports with those around him. Raul’s presence brought joy to many, and his memories will remain forever etched in the hearts of all who knew him.
