Octavio Mireles Guerra, Jr.

ELSA- Octavio Mireles Guerra, Jr., 75 went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at his Elsa residence. Octavio was born January 13, 1947 to Octavio and Maria Guerra in Edcouch, Texas. Octavio proudly served his country in the US Army. Octavio is preceded in death by his parents, Octavio and Maria Guerra; his sisters, Ernestina "Edna" Fernandez and Maria Hermila Quintanilla. He is survived by his daughter, Josette Guerra and three grandchildren, Dustin Anthony Rodriguez, Cameran Avri Rodriguez and Devin Alexander Rodriguez.

Family will receive family and friends, Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapels in Edcouch. Funeral service will be Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapels in Edcouch. Interment will follow to the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Full military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 7473 of Elsa. Having the distinguished honor serving as pallbearers are: Adan Flores, Ricard Quintanilla, Dustin Rodriguez, Devin Rodriguez, Orlando O. Quintanilla, Joshua Gonzalez, Noe Flores, Jose G Quintanilla, Jr. and Jose G. Quintanilla, Sr. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Chapels of Edcouch.
