Edcouch - Nora Maria Cano, 43, passed away suddenly July 7, 2020 at Valley Baptist Micro Hospital in Weslaco. Nora was born April 3, 1977 to Guadalupe and Maria de la Paz Ramos in Mexico. She is survived by her husband, Jose Luis Cano; sons, Silvano Cano and Jose Luis Cano, Jr.; daughters, Justine Cano (Deni Arevalo) and Amely Cano; and father, Guadalupe Ramos. She is also survived by her brothers, Rene (Maria) Ramos, Guadalupe (Marina) Ramos, Daniel (Elida) Ramos, David (Gena) Ramos, and Gabriel (Geneya) Ramos; sisters, Olga (Narcisco) Rivera, Rosalva (Abel) Echevarria, Veronica (Javier) Galvan, and Laura (Alex) Plata; two grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces. Nora is preceded in death by her mother, Maria de la Paz Ramos.
Viewing will Friday, July 10, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6 p.m. Viewing will continue Saturday, July 11, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. and at that time we will depart to the cemetery. Graveside Service will follow at 10:00 a.m. at El Rucio Cemetery in San Manuel-Linn.
In regards to our policy in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, our priority is always the safety of the families we serve, our community and our employees. Due to the current COVID-19 mandates, we can only allow ten individuals at any time. Family and friends may have to rotate to allow others to enter. Thank you and stay safe.
