Elsa/Wisconsin - Born into eternal life on April 5, 2017, Noel Garza Sr. was a Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and loving friend. He is survived by his loving wife Mercedes Garza, and his children Sandy, Gloria, Noel Jr. and Veronica Garza. He had 9 grandchildren, Ashley, Yolanda, Madeline, Jennifer, Moises, Hope, David and Carmen; 5 great-grandchildren, Jayden, Amanda, Laylanii, Eli, Sofia and Aria; and other family members, cousins, nieces, nephews, from Wisconsin and Texas, Oregon, Michigan, Washington State, California, and Mexico.
He moved to Wisconsin from Texas in 1977 where he worked hard to provide for his family. He was dedicated to following Christ and volunteered to start a food and clothing pantry at St. Patrick’s Church through the Vincent De Paul Society. He was the first Hispanic Santa Claus at Gimbels department store. He worked as a foreman for Seneca Foods for 11 years where he retired. For the majority of his life he enjoyed being with family. His hobbies included fishing, working on cars and helping people in the community. His family and friends will always remember him as a faithful Christian and a jokester.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. at Cardoza Funeral Home Chapel.
