Monica Gamez de Becerra

Weslaco- Monica Gamez de Becerra, 65, went to be with the Lord Thursday, October 27, 2022 at her Weslaco residence. Monica was born March 16, 1957 to Jose and Dominga Gamez in Mexico. Monica is preceded in death by her husband; son, Jose Javier Gamez; parents, Jose and Dominga Gamez. Monica is survived by her children, Maria San Juanita Gamez, Antonio Magaña, Jose Magaña, Jr., Damian Hernandez, and Alejandro Salinas. Monica is also survived by her 13 grandchildren; brothers, Jose Gamez, Federico Gamez; sisters, Guadalupe Gamez, Maria de la Paz Camacho, Matilde Cerda, Severa Gamez, Consuelo Martinez and Adela Gamez.

Family will receive friends, Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a 6:00 Prayer Service at Serenity Funeral Chapels in Edcouch. As per her wishes Monica will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Chapels of Edcouch.
