WESLACO – Maria Amalia Zuniga, 62, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at her residence in Weslaco. She was born July 29, 1955 to Ricardo & Felicitas Ramon in Mexico.
Maria is survived by her sons, Jose Zuniga and Ricardo Zuniga; daughters, Crizelda Zuniga and Marlene Ramos; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and mother, Felicitas Ramon. Also surviving her are brothers, Ricardo Ramon, Benito Ramon, Ernesto Ramon, Doroteo Ramon, and Jose Ramon; sisters, Gregoria Ramon, Apolonia Mireles, Argelia Brown, Angelica Barrera, Corcina Hernandez, and Maria Ramon. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Ramos, Jr. and son, Pedro Ramos, III.
Viewing will be held Saturday September 16, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary both days at 7:00 p.m. Viewing will continue Monday, September 18, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Sacred Park Cemetery in Mercedes.
