SANTA ROSA-Modesta Muñoz, 82, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at her Santa Rosa residence.
Modesta was born February 24, 1941 to Ambrosio Torres Sr. and Santos Vasquez. Modesta is preceded in death by her parents, Ambrosio and Santos Torres; 2 sons, Antonio Muñoz, Ricardo Muñoz; 2 grandsons, Ike and Antonio Muñoz Jr., and 5 siblings.
Modesta is survived by her sons, Arturo Muñoz, Fermin (Carina) Muñoz, David (Teresa) Muñoz, Miguel (Jessica) Muñoz, Pilar (Monica) Muñoz, Jose (Bianca) Badillo; Daughters Sara (Gilberto) Jimenez, Gloria Muñoz, and Rosa Muñoz (Rick Alaniz); 31 Grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren, brother, Juan Torres; sisters, Oralia Chavez, Rosa Fonseca, Sofia Ochoa.
Viewing for Modesta will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel of Edcouch. Funeral mass will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Santa Rosa, TX. Burial will follow at Santo Nombre Cemetery in Santa Rosa,TX.
Funeral arrangements are under direction and care of Serenity Funeral Chapels of Edcouch.
