Maria delaluz Zuniga

ELSA- Maria delaluz Zuniga, 74, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Maria was born August 29, 1948 to Tomas Nuñez and Maria De Los Angeles Fuentes in Matamoros, Tamaulipas Mexico. Maria is preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughter, Angelina Terize Zuniga; siblings, Nicolas Nuñez, Alfredo Nuñez, Rogelio Nuñez, Josefina Alaniz, Luis Nuñez and daughter-in-law, Amanda Gaona Zuniga.

Maria is survived by her loving husband, Alvaro Zuniga; children, Alvaro Zuniga, Jr., Sandra Zuniga, Juanita (Julio) Vallejo, Alejandro (Teresa) Zuniga, Jose Luis Zuniga, Nora Elia Zuniga, Antonio Zuniga and Joel (Erica) Zuniga. Maria is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Viewing will be Monday, June 26, 2023 and Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. both nights at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch.

As per Maria's wishes, she will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Chapels of Edcouch.
