Marcos Rangel, III

February 4, 1977 — May 30, 2022

Marcos Rangel, III went to be with the Lord Monday, May 30, 2022 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Marcos was a lifelong resident of Edcouch. He attended the Edcouch-Elsa School District and was a True Yellow Jacket. He played Football from 1991-1995  for the Edcouch-Elsa Yellow Jacket Varsity Team. His true love and great passion was for football. He was one of the founders for the Edcouch-Elsa Killer Bees Little League football Team, teaching future Yellow Jackets. He also volunteered with the Boys & Girls Club and coached Baseball and Basketball little league teams for over two decades. He was a coach to many young aspiring football players, whom well into their adult years always cared and credited him for his support and instruction. A true Yellow Jacket fan at heart, his famous words were, “Once a Yellow Jacket, Always a Yellow Jacket! Que Viva La Maquina." Marcos had a very big heart and never hesitated to help anyone with whatever he could, for as little or a lot that it could be. He will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his father, Marcos Rangel Jr. and Grand-Nephew, Terrance Jacoby Garcia. He is survived by his loving wife, Araceli Rodriguez Rangel; his mother, Francisca Rangel; son, Marcos Rangel IV; brother, Miguel Rangel; sisters, Viola Enriquez, Melissa Rangel, Lupita Garcia, Hilda Ayala, and Rachel Rangel.
