Lorenzo Medelez

WESLACO-Lorenzo Medelez, 81, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. He was born September 5, 1941 to Ramon Sr. and Andrea G. Medelez in Taft, Texas. Lorenzo is preceded in death by his parents, Ramon Sr. and Andrea Medelez and brothers, Benito Medelez, Ramon Medelez, Jr., Erasmo Medelez and his sister, Sira Medelez.

Lorenzo is survived by his wife, Ivonne Medelez; his children, Lorenzo Medelez, Jr., MaryAnn Hernandez (Guadalupe), Emily Medelez and step-son, Miguel Medrano (Jennifer); 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings; Jose Medelez, Carlos Medelez, Luis Medelez, Isabel Medelez Delgado, Lydia Medelez De Leon, Diana Medelez and Andrea Medelez Aranda.

Viewing will be held Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapels in Edcouch. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2023 at Serenity Funeral Chapels of Edcouch. Interment will follow to Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco. Having the distinguished honor serving as pallbearers are: Luis Medelez, Valentin Medelez, Cesar Medelez, Eddie DeLeon, Adrian Aranda & Fabian Aranda.
