LA VILLA- Leonardo Reyes, 72 passed away Friday, April 28, 2023 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Leonardo was born November 6, 1950 to Vidal and Teresa Reyes in La Villa, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his sons, Gerardo Reyes I, Gerardo Reyes; daughter, Hermelinda Reyes; parents, Vidal and Teresa Reyes; brothers, Francisco Reyes, Modesto Reyes, Vidal Reyes, Jr. and Gumecindo Reyes.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rosa Reyes; children, Flor Estela Ortiz (Ruben), Juanita Reyes (Jose Contreras), Melissa Reyes, Criselda Reyes, Sandra Reyes Gonzalez (Gerardo), Ricardo Reyes (Linda), Leonardo Reyes, Jr. (Maritza). Eduardo Reyes (Anika), Roxanne Reyes (Antonio Garza), Clarissa Reyes (Polo Garza) and Rosalind Reyes. He is also survived by 91 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Ezequiel Reyes, Bernabe Reyes, Oscar Reyes, Reynaldo Reyes, Alicia Reyes Lara, Raquel Reyes Rodriguez, Angelita Reyes and Nancy Rangel.
Family will receive friends, Tuesday, May 2, 2023 and Wednesday, May 3, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service both evenings at 7:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Chapels of Edcouch.
