Edcouch - Jupiter Tijerina, 80, passed away peacefully April 10, 2021 at his residence in Edcouch. Jupiter was born May 10, 1940 to Jesus and Rita Tijerina in Elsa, TX. He worked most of his life as a laborer for the City of Elsa. Jupiter is survived by his wife, Otilia Tijerina; brother, Galo (Guadalupe) Tijerina; and sisters, Maria P. Ybarra and Emma Tijerina.
Viewing will be held Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Viewing will continue Friday, April 16, 2021 from 9:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco. Chaplin Bob Pitts will be officiating.
