Juanita Gutierrez

EDCOUCH- Juanita Gutierrez, 66 passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023 at her Edcouch residence. She was born October 11, 1956 in Matamoros, Mexico to Reynaldo Vela and Amelia Escamilla. Juanita is preceded in death by her husband, Gabino Gutierrez, Sr.; granddaughter, Faith Abigail Gutierrez; grandson, Michael Olmedo; brothers, Martin Vela and Cesar Vela.

Juanita is survived by her loving children, Esmeralda Gutierrez (Jesus Mares), Dora Gutierrez, Gabino Gutierrez (Ericka), Noe Gutierrez (Brenda), Homer Gutierrez, Gracie Gutierrez, David Olmedo (Rosa), Oscar Olmedo (Vanessa). Juanita is also survived by her 22 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter and siblings, Veronica Vela, Julia Vela, Alma Vela and Hugo Vela.

Viewing will be Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. Interment will follow to Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Chapels of Edcouch.
