Juan Gilberto Perez, Jr.

LA VILLA - Juan Gilberto Perez Jr, 66 entered eternal rest on Friday, March 14, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones in Weslaco. Born on February 11, 1959, in Fresno, California, Juan lived his life surrounded by the warmth of family and friends, carving out a legacy of love and laughter that will forever be cherished.

Juan found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in watching movies with his beloved family. His zest for life resonated most vividly during family barbecues, where his grilling skills were matched only by his joyful spirit. An enthusiastic rider, he cherished moments on his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycle, relishing the freedom the open road offered. Juan worked as a security guard at Southern Steel, where he was known for his dedication and commitment. He was truly the life of the party, always ready with a joke that would light up a room.

Juan is preceded in death by his loving parents Juan and Guadalupe Perez.

Left to cherish Juan's memory are his children, Juan G.(Velia Ibarra), Juan Alberto (Theresa) Perez, Amanda Perez, Alexsander Perez, and Geselle Perez. Juan is also survived by his grandchildren, Ivan Elijah Wilson, Scarlet Ariana Wilson, Ariel Renee Garcia, Albert Ryan Perez, Adelynn Rose Perez, Amerah Serene Perez, Azaiah Jayden Perez, Mila Perez, Ava Perez, Mason Perez and Aiden Perez, siblings, Ruben Perez, Jorge Perez, Hilda Garza, Lydia Garza, and Joe Perez.

Family and Friends will gather on Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. Funeral Mass will be Friday, March 21, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Edcouch. As per Juan's wishes, cremation will follow at a later date.

Juan will be profoundly missed, but his love will forever echo in our hearts.
