LA VILLA

La Villa- Juan Diaz Aleman entered eternal rest at the age of 88 in Weslaco, Texas. Juan was born on December 14, 1935, in Edcouch, TX, to Pedro Galindo Aleman and Matiana Diaz Aleman. Throughout his life, Juan wore many hats, from his time as a migrant farm worker in Michigan to his roles as a dedicated public servant. Juan proudly served his country in the United States Army for 2 years. He was the City Mayor of La Villa for 2 years as well as a Municipal Court Judge. His commitment to justice and his community extended to his work as a police officer for the city of San Juan, where he served with distinction for 11 years. Juan married the love of his life in August of 1959 and were happily and blessed to be married for 33 years. Juan was also a devoted member to the Catholic church.

Juan is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Consuelo Gonzalez Aleman, parents Pedro Galindo Aleman and Matiana Diaz Aleman; sister Ramona Guerrero, and a great-grandson, Deric Aleman.

Left to cherish is memory are his loving children, Mary Alice Aleman, Felix (Alicia) Aleman, Susan Aleman (Alfredo Delgado), Fabian Aleman, Pedro Aleman, II, Juan Diego Aleman; brother Daniel Aleman, sister Elma Gonzales; 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Rose Aleman

In honor of his life and legacy, Viewing will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024 from 2:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 7473 of Elsa on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. As per Mr. Aleman's wishes, cremation will follow at a later date. 

Juan will be remembered as a pillar of strength, a servant leader, and a devoted family man whose presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a guiding light for those who follow in his footsteps.

Funeral Service are under the direction of Dr. Joseph Conde and staff at Serenity Funeral Chapels located at 1401 E. Santa Rosa Ave, Edcouch, Texas 78538.
