EDCOUCH- Josefina Quiroz, 75, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at South Texas Health Systems in Weslaco. Josefina was born April 16, 1948 to Abraham and Rosa Ybarra in Brownsville, Texas. Josefina is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Vicente Ybarra, Carlota Ybarra, Dominga Ventura, Porfiria Villanueva, Lorenzo Ybarra, Jose Angel Ybarra, Cayetana Ybarra and Maria Rangel.
Josefina is survived by her loving husband, Enrique Quiroz; children, Marta Quiroz, Socorro (Abraham) Rodriguez, Enrique Quiroz, Jr., Juan Abraham (Erika) Quiroz, Guadalupe Quiroz. Josefina is also survived by 14 grandchilren, 13 great grandchildren and brother, Arturo Ybarra.
Viewing will be Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. Funeral Mass will be Friday, July 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Chapels of Edcouch.

Josefina nació el 16 de abril del 1948, hija de Abraham y Rosa Ybarra en Brownsville, Texas. Josefina esta precedida en muerte por sus padres; sus hermanos y hermanas, Vicente Ybarra, Carlota Ybarra, Dominga Ventura, Porfiria Villanueva, Lorenzo Ybarra, Jose Angel Ybarra, Cayetana Ybarra y Maria Rangel.
Le sobrevive su amado esposo, Enrique Quiroz; hijos, Marta Quiroz, Socorro (Abraham) Rodriguez, Enrique Quiroz, Jr., Juan Abraham (Erika) Quiroz, y Guadalupe Quiroz. Tambien le sobreviven 14 nietos, 13 bisnietos; y hermano, Arturo Ybarra.
La velación será el jueves, 27 de julio del 2023 de las 3:00 p.m. hasta las 9:00 p.m. con un rosario a las 7:00 p.m. en Serenity Funeral Chapel en Edcouch. La misa sera el viernes, 28 de julio del 2023 a las 10:00 a.m. en St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church en Edcouch. El entierro será a las 11:00 a.m. en el Cementerio Anahuac en Edcouch.
