Josefa L. Garcia

HARLINGEN- Josefa L. Garcia, 71 went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Harlingen Medical Center. 
 
Josefa was born March 19, 1952 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Augustin and Beatriz Leija.

Josefa is preceded in death by her husband, Israel Garcia; parents, Augustin and Beatriz Leija.

Josefa is survived by her sons, Israel Garcia, Jr., Albert Garcia, Robert Garcia and Fernando Garcia. She is also survived by her grandsons, Leonel Garcia, Andy Garcia, Julian Garcia, Israel Garcia lll and Akasis Garcia; granddaughters, Rebecca Garcia and Lila Garcia.
 
Viewing will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edouch. Interment will follow at Ashland Memorial Park Cemetery in Harlingen.
