Jose Rodriguez

ELSA- Jose Rodriguez 88, went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2023 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Jose was born July 19, 1935 to Ezequiel and Lydia S. Rodriguez in Odem, TX. Jose is preceded in death by his wife, Ernestina Rodriguez; sons, Jose Rodriguez, Jr, Dr. Rene Rodriguez; 5 siblings.

Jose is survived by his daughters, Manuela Flores, Irene Porras, Sonia (Charles) King, Norma Rodriguez (Gustavo), Diana (Lucio) Zamorano, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; brother, Pedro Rodriguez; sister, Juani Aguilar.

Viewing will be Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Eulogy at 6:00 p.m. and a recitation of a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapels in Edcouch. Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapels in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park of Weslaco. Having the distinguished honor serving as pallbearers are: Victor Porras, Jr., Andy Rivera, Angel Rene Rodriguez, Lucio Zamorano and Dale Porras.
