A skilled craftsman, Jose found joy in creating beautiful leatherwork, crafting knives, and expressing his creativity through painting. His passion for these artistic endeavors touched the lives of all who knew him. Proudly serving his country in the US Marines, Jose embodied the values of loyalty, duty, and honor throughout his life. Despite his modest education, he pursued his passions with dedication and skill, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship and creativity. Jose was a dedicated law enforcement officer, in various communities including Edinburg, Edcouch Elsa, Alamo, and La Villa. His commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of others left a lasting impact on all those he encountered throughout his distinguished career.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Juanita Garza, beloved daughters Cassandra Garza and Sarah Rangel, beloved son Ismael (Terry) Garza, beloved brothers Mario Garza, Fransico Garza and Ernesto Garza, 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Jose is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Garza and Fransica Garza
His presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Though he may be gone, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 p.m with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m at Serenity Funeral Chapels in Edcouch. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 10:00 a.m at Serenity Funeral Chapels in Edcouch. Internment will follow at La Blanca Cemetery.
