La Villa – Ismael Altamirano, 56, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center in Edinburg, TX. He was born January 4, 1963 to Moises and Maria De La Luz Altamirano in Mercedes, TX.
Ismael is survived by his wife, Anita Altamirano; sons, Daniel (Leticia) Altamirano and Ismael Altamirano, Jr.; daughter, Veronica Lee Altamirano; 4 grandchildren; mother, Maria De La Luz Altamirano; brothers, Heriberto (Rosalinda) Martinez and Lorenso Altamirano; sisters, Esmerilda (John) Whitten, Mary Gloria Ybarra, Yolanda (Rolando) Garza, Aida Altamirano, Maria Delia Altamirano and Mary P. (Francisco) Contreras; and sister-in-law, Luisa Altamirano. He is preceded in death by his father, Moises Altamirano; and brother, Moises Altamirano, Jr.
Viewing will be held Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary both days at 7:00 p.m.
Viewing will continue Monday, December 23, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in La Villa. Interment will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch, TX.
