Isabel Rangel

EDCOUCH- Isabel Rangel, 92 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on December 19, 2024. Isabel was born on July 9, 1932 to Jose and Dolores Treviño in Edcouch, Texas.

Isabel had a passion for gardening, finding solace and satisfaction in cultivating vibrant flowers and nourishing vegetables. Additionally, she enjoyed the artistry of embroidery, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her creativity and love for her craft. Most cherished were the times she spent with her family, particularly her grandchildren, whose visits lit up her heart.

Isabel is preceded in death by her loving husband Andres Rangel Sr., father; Jose Treviño, mother; Dolores Treviño, sisters; Maria Martinez, Esther Ortiz and Enriqueta Treviño. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Pedro Treviño. 

Left to cherish Isabel's beautiful memory are her sons; Juan (Julia) Rangel, and Andres (Norma) Rangel; daughters Isabel Garza (Ricardo Uribe) and Nora Rangel (Delia Garza); sister Julia Ruiz, 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather on Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, December 23, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch.

In this time of sadness, let us come together to support one another and to remember the legacy that Isabel leaves behind. May her soul rest in peace, knowing the love and respect she shared will be eternal.
