Francisca S. Gallegos

ELSA- Francisca S Gallegos passed away peacefully surrounded by all her loved ones on November 19, 2024, at the age of 76. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity. Born in San Juan, TX, on January 18, 1948, Francisca was a nurturing and devoted wife, mother grandmother and sister.

Throughout her life, Francisca found joy in simple pleasures like tending to her garden, trying her luck at the slot machines, and preparing delicious meals for her loved ones. She took great pride in her cooking, especially her famous tortillas and beans, and welcomed all who entered her home with open arms and a full table.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents Juan and Isidra Salasar, brother; Isidro David Salasar.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Hermenegildo Gallegos, children; Jorge (Maria) Gallegos, Maria De Loudres Gallegos, Norma Leticia Gallegos, Luis (Melissa) Gallegos, Jose Guadalupe Gallegos. She is also survived by her grandchildren Brenda Lee (Paul) Padilla, April J Gallegos, Jorge Gallegos II, Samantha (Brandon) Gallegos, Giovanni (Genevieve) Galan, Ethan Gallegos, Aiden Gallegos, Diego Gallegos, Alejandra Ramirez; great grandchildren; Estevan Padilla, Anastasia Padilla, Evan Padilla, Felix A Bustamante, Yaretzi M Herrera, Paisley Hernandez, sister; Martha Salasar, Maurilia Mendez, Velia Mendez Mendez and Jose Mendez Mendez.

Family will gather Friday, November 22, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church located at 200 S Salazar St. Edcouch, Texas 78538. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.

Funeral Services are under the direction of Dr. Joseph Conde and staff at Serenity Funeral Chapels located on 1401 E Santa Rosa Ave Edcouch, Texas 78538.
