Francisca Castro

La Villa- Francisca Castro 94, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at her La Villa residence. Francisca was born May 8, 1928 to Carlos and Faustina Estrada in Guanajuato, Mexico. Francisca was preceded in death by her husband, Serapio Castro; daughters, Estefana Dominguez and Esmeralda Castro; grandsons, Charles James Crosby and David Castro; granddaughter, Maribel Cortez. Francisca is survived by her loving children, Amelia (Flavio+) Garcia, Anastacio (Sylvia) Castro, Santos (Agustin+) Farias, Adela (Vicente) Flores, Agustina (Clarence+) Crosby, Francisca (Manuel) Alcantar, Serapio Castro, Jr. (Esmeralda Hernandez) and Veronica (Arturo) Ochoa. Francisca is also survived by 37 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and siblings, Narciso Vargas and Micaela Vargas.

Family will receive friends Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. Funeral Mass will be Monday, December 5, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in La Villa. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
