EDINBURG - Concepcion Hernandez, 78 entered eternal rest on April 15, 2025 in Edinburg. Concepcion was born on September 7, 1946 in Burgos, Tamaulipas Mexico to Fidel and Monzerat Serna.

Concepcion was a woman of great warmth and strength, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.

Concepcion had a passion for cooking that will be fondly remembered, particularly her famous fideo con pollo, which brought joy to family gatherings. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond the kitchen, as she also cherished tending to her garden, cultivating not only plants but connections with nature and family alike. A devoted family-oriented individual, she relished every moment spent with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren, whose laughter and joy filled her home with warmth.

Concepcion shared 55 beautiful years of marriage with the love of her life, Camerino Hernandez creating a strong and loving foundation for their family. Her unwavering dedication to her loved ones was evident in everything she did.

Concepcion is preceded in death by her parents Fidel and Monzerat Serena, grandson; Jose Antonio Ponce, siblings; Noe Armando Serna, Juan Serna, Ramona Gonzalez, Guadalupe Fuentes, and Oralia Garza.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Camarino Hernandez, children; Genaro Hernandez, Eddy Hernandez, Camerino Hernandez, Jr, Anna Ponce, and Yesenia Hernandez. Concepcion is also survived by 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather on Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch.

Chapel service will be held on Friday April 18, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. Interment will follow at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch.

Concepcion will be deeply missed, but her love will continue to inspire and guide all those who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives. May she rest in peace.
