Concepcion "Connie" Reyes

EDINBURG-Concepcion "Connie" Reyes, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on June 29, 2024, at the age of 58. Her warm and vibrant presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Born in Pharr, Texas on December 8, 1965, to her loving parents Elijio B. Mendoza and Tomasa C. Mendoza, Connie brought joy and laughter into the lives of everyone around her.

Connie was a devoted wife to Ruben Reyes and a caring mother to her children Clarissa (Alexis) Lopez, Cristela Reyes, and Ruben Reyes. She adored her family and cherished the moments spent together, whether it was BBQing, vacationing, or sharing hearty laughs. Connie had a keen sense of style always showcasing her unique fashion sense wherever she went.

Known for her culinary skills, Connie's delicious cooking brought people together and created lasting memories. She had a talent for preparing meals that delighted the taste buds of those she loved. In addition to her immediate family, Connie is also survived by her sister Feliciana, and brothers Elijio Jr (Shila), Jose Angel, and Reyes (Ana) Mendoza. She was cherished by her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and leaves behind a legacy of love and strength.

As we remember Connie, let us hold on to the fond memories and the laughter she brought into our lives. May her spirit live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Concepcion "Connie" was preceded in death by father Elijio B. Mendoza, brother Carlos Mendoza, and sister Antonia C. (Mark) Latigo.

Rest in peace, dear Connie. Your laughter, love, and culinary creations will forever be remembered fondly by all who were fortunate enough to have you in their lives.
