Belinda Benavidez

EDCOUCH - Belinda 46, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 28, 2024 in Edcouch. Belinda was born on December 31, 1977 in Weslaco, Texas.

Belinda was a vibrant soul whose laughter and joy brightened the lives of all who knew her. She was the embodiment of happiness, the life of every gathering, always ready with a contagious smile and a delightful joke.

As a strong-willed individual, Belinda was the glue that held her family together, drawing them close with her warmth and generosity.

An avid lover of the outdoors, she found great joy in hunting and fishing—activities that allowed her to connect with nature and her loved ones. Belinda also cherished the moments spent playing bingo and gathering with family and friends, creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts.

Belinda is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; Maria Beatriz Porras, Juan Porras Sr, and Victor Porras, paternal grandparents; Manuel Benavidez Sr and Florencia Benavidez.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving parents Manuel Benavidez Jr and Maria (Steve) Porras, daughter; Adryanne Zambrano, sisters; Viviana Benavidez ( Joe Guerrero), Alyssa Benavidez (Ruben Fernandez), brothers; Manuel Benavidez III and Javier Porras (Reyna Porras); nieces and nephews Anjelyka, Leaylah, Ozii, Nyki, Ruben Jr, Kalyssa, Kiyannah, Ricky, Manuel IV, Ayleen, Khandi, Javier Jr, Jadelynn, Jaylah, Jarah; great nieces and nephews Izaiah, Mackenzie, Bryan, Josue, Levi, Elianna, Royce, Bryson, and Brockett. She is also survived by her furbaby "Socks".

Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. and a chapel service at 7:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. As per Belinda's wishes, she will be cremated at a later date.

Belinda's spirit and zest for life will be deeply missed but will forever be remembered by her family and friends.
