EDCOUCH - Arturo Ybarra, Sr. 85 went to be with the Lord on April 14, 2025 in Weslaco. Born on February 10, 1940 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, Arturo was a beloved father, friend, and community member whose warmth and spirit touched the lives of many.
Arturo was a dedicated and hardworking individual, having spent many years serving the county and the airport in Edcouch. He was known for his vibrant personality and had a passion for sales, particularly in providing 55-gallon barrels to his community. His enthusiasm for connecting with people and fostering relationships was evident in all aspects of his life. He was a devoted usher at St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, where he served with dedication and humility, embodying the values of faith and community that he held dear.
He found joy in the simple pleasures, such as enjoying coffee at his favorite restaurants, Taqueria 107, and gathering with loved ones at Alameda. Arturo cherished the moments spent cruising along Old 83 to discover new restaurants, as well as leisurely walks to HEB after dinner. These routines brought him happiness and allowed him to engage with the community he loved so dearly.
