Abigail Aguilera Calderon

EDINBURG- It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Abigail Aguilera Calderon, 89, a beloved mother and friend, who departed from this world on November 17, 2024, in Edinburg, TX. Born on October 23, 1935, in GUA, Mexico to Fransisco Calderon and Maria Guadalupe Santoyo. Abigail's warm smile and loving nature touched the lives of all those around her.

Abigail dedicated her life to her family, finding joy in simple pleasures like playing bingo and spending quality time with her loved ones. Her presence would always light up a room, bringing laughter and happiness to those fortunate enough to know her.

Abigail is preceded in death by her husband Daniel Aguilera; son; Juan Daniel; father Francisco Calderon and mother Maria Guadalupe Santoyo; sisters; Angelina Calderon, Trinidad Calderon, and Cecilia Calderon, brothers; Eduardo Calderon, Reynaldo Calderon and David Calderon.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children; Rene (Yolanda) Aguilera, Lidia (Mase) Treviño, Abigail Rocha, Noe (Rose) Aguilera, Miguel (Gloria) Aguilera, Ricardo Aguilera, Bonifacio Aguilera, Daniel (Virgina) Aguilera, Fransico (Sonia) Aguilera and Evangelina Aguilera, sister; Maria Calderon, brothers; Jose Calderon and Jesus Calderon, 31 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren.

Family and Friends will gather on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch,Texas. A Chapel Service will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch. Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. at La Blanca Community Cemetery in La Blanca, TX.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
